A Timeless Escape at Redworth Hall — A Solo Stay to Remember My solo stay at Redworth Hall Hotel was nothing short of incredible. I was looking for a place to relax, unwind, and take in some history—and this place delivered on every level. Set in stunning grounds where wildlife casually strolls past (rabbits on the lawn, birds just feet away), the peaceful atmosphere alone was worth the visit. Discovering a surprising link to my own family history within the hall’s heritage made the experience feel even more personal. From the moment I arrived, I was treated with kindness and respect by every member of staff. Paul, Amy, Kim, Carol, Megan, Chloe, Lynsey, Lynn, Jayden, Jordan, Heavenly, Amira—just to name a few—were all outstanding. Whether it was the bar, kitchen, reception, or management, everyone worked like a well-oiled machine. I watched them handle a large wedding with complete professionalism, yet they still made time to make sure I felt valued as a guest. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the jacuzzi bath was a real highlight—absolutely worth it. The hotel has everything I needed: fast Wi-Fi, a gym, spa, tea and coffee in the room, a lift for easy access, and genuinely thoughtful touches throughout. As someone who uses a crutch, I appreciated how accessible and accommodating the whole place was. There’s also a bit of spooky charm for anyone who enjoys a good ghost story—the kind of quiet mystery that lingers in a building with this much history. With scenic views perfect for wildlife photography and peaceful walks, it’s an ideal escape from the chaos of everyday life. Redworth Hall isn’t just a hotel—it’s an experience. And one I’ll absolutely carry with me.

We arrived for my 40th birthday and we had booked through 'buyagift' which turned out to be a total con as they had charged us more on top then not even processed our booking it was a NIGHTMARE. However, we arrived on a saturday with a wedding party there and no booking - not the hotels fault at all but this rather useless buyagift thing, I was terrified they'd have no room considering how busy they were! We had no booking and activities booked for the whole weekend so I got a little teary worrying my 40th birthday weekend was ruined. However, the hotel staff were amazing and got us a room and helped us through the situation which was rather upsetting as I was exhausted had just come from a work trip and hadn't had a day off for 3 months so I was super exhausted and stressed we'd been ripped off! The staff were amazing, Carol on reception was fantastic and really sorted us out. The hotel was beautiful and the grounds were stunning. Restaurant was amazing and breakfast was superb! Will come again. Thank you so much. People saying the interiors are dated are wrong - I'd hate to see this stunning building turned into some modern grey hell hole with no love. If they are to update them it should be in keeping with the building and not modernised as it takes away the charm. Currently the rooms are simple but classy. I like it, perhaps some fun wallpaper but the place is a beaut :)

I stay in a lot of hotels both for business and leisure. This hotel was stunning, I took myself and my two daughters away for a girls treat night and it was the nicest experience ever. Staff were attentive and kind and left us a little surprise in the room too! Spa was quiet and clean with comfortable seating around the pool. Reaturant and bar area was extremely busy on the evening but we stayed in our room so this didn't affect us. However, we were asked about booking a dinner reservation at check in so I don't think it would of been a problem if we'd have chosen to dine in the restaurant. I never duplicate my stays in hotels as I like to explore, but I can't wait to come back again! Thank you for having us and making our stay so pleasant.

The room was fabulous. Air-conditioning is essential to us. Apparently they don't have that in the original hotel but we stayed in the new part with a spa bath too. I didn't have time to use it unfortunately as we were attending our son's wedding and it was a very busy weekend! We ate in the restaurant the restaurant the 1st evening and the food was delicious and my husband his cousins confirmed theirs was too! We also didn't have time to use pool either. The grounds are beautiful and the weather the day we arrived was the hottest so far (12/04/25). Everyone sat in the sunshine until it was time for dinner! The wedding next day went beautifully and a magnificent time was had by all! Breakfast on both mornings was delicious too!

Returning to Redworth Hall Hotel for a second two-week stay was a quiet pleasure. The property, built in 1693, carries its history with charm—its architecture is full of character, a beautiful reminder of another era. Though my health limited how much of the grounds I could explore this time, I still managed to get out to the main entrance and the lawn area, and even that brief glimpse reminded me why this place is so special. The setting is tranquil, the gardens well-kept, and the atmosphere lends itself to peaceful rest. There’s something grounding about staying somewhere with so much history—it almost feels like the building itself is taking care of you.
